CNC Machine Operator

Responsible for the safe operation of CNC lathes and mills with the basic knowledge and application of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Responsibilities

Lift stock to load feeding mechanism
Ensure efficiency in the machining process
Continuously implement quality checks using precision measuring equipment
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Etc.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations.

Daily contact with Machine Shop Supervisor. Frequent contact with Plant Manager and Engineering staff.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-year experience as CNC Machine Operator
- Okuma, Haas, and Mori Seiki a plus
Must be familiar with the operation of CNC machine tools
Good oral and written communication skills
Must be able to read blueprints

Must be able to utilize measuring equipment
