CNC Set-up

You will be responsible for the safe setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills with the basic knowledge an application of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout and machining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work from engineering drawings, sketches, set up sheets, program printouts, specifications and instruction manuals

• Perform first article and in-process inspections

• With assistance, troubleshoot, edit, and optimize new production programs to ensure efficient overall production

• Conduct tool changes and offset adjustments as needed

• Document new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated

• Operate and set up all CNC Equipment

• Hass, Okuma, Mori Seiki

• Train personnel to properly perform all required CNC operations including machine operation, in-process quality inspections, efficient use of time, paperwork and packing requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3-years’ experience working on CNC mills and lathes

• Programming experience a plus

• Good mechanical aptitude required

• Ability to read blueprints

• Must be able to lift up to but not limited to 60lbs. at times
